A Chicagoland kid goes on to graduate from Michigan State University, travel around the world, and make a living as an artist telling stories about this thing called life.
I navigate artistic expression through the lens of language: poetry, theater, film, music, exhibit art and voice over acting.
My approach is simple: Human first. Artist second. Black Always. Community over everything.
And this is what informs my writing. I see my work as a dance between entertainment and awareness, and language is the rhythm holding the two together.
